Colored Envelopes
For a pop of color in your recipients’ mailboxes, select a colored envelope. I will recommend envelope colors for your individual project, but download the envelope color palette for an idea of what you may have. Please keep in mind these are digital approximations.
Looking for an extra touch to add to your invitation suite? Consider any of the following:
Paper bands – a custom designed or patterned paper band wrapped around your invitation will keep all your pieces together & add an extra design element {wedding logo, monogram, a pop of color…}
Envelope liners - a variety of envelope lining colors in solid text-weight paper or custom printed patterned paper are available & add a lovely surprise for the recipient.
Envelopments & Pocket Folders – a variety of shapes & sizes are available at www.envelopements.com. Both can be sealed with a wax seal, decorate label, ribbon, or paper band.
Any design can be printed in the color combination of your choice. I mix all my inks by hand, so I can arrive at just about any color you can imagine. I mix custom ink colors using the Pantone Matching System {PMS} or swatches including paper, paint, fabric, ribbon, cupcakes with colored frosting…anything you can drop in the mail to me. Send me the PMS number or some, always welcomed, snail mail. I would love to hear your ideas for your color palette, but if you need some ideas please download my recommended color palette. Please keep in mind these are digital approximations.
In addition to the typefaces (fonts) I will recommend based on your design, I offer a wide range of typefaces to customize your invitations. If there is a specific typeface you would like, please let me know. If I do not have it, I will purchase it for you. If you would like to incorporate calligraphy or hand-lettering in your invitations, I work with many calligraphers who can offer anything from you and your fiancé’s names to envelopes.
I accept PayPal, check {it must clear before printing}, Mastercard & Visa. A 50% deposit must be received before I begin printing & the remaining 50% before shipping to you.
The standard method for shipping is USPS Priority Mail for all wedding, stationery, invitations, & custom orders. Shipping is complimentary with all wedding invitations orders. Once your order is shipped, a tracking number will be sent so you know the exact status for your package. If you prefer expedited shipping, please let me know and I will happily arrange it.
Wedding invitation etiquette suggests save the dates be sent 6 months in advance & up to 12 months if it is a destination wedding. Wedding invitations should be sent out 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding or 10 to 12 weeks in advance if it is a destination wedding.
It is recommended you start the save the date and/or wedding invitation process at least 6 to 8 weeks before the date you would like to receive them. Turnaround time is approximately 3 to 4 weeks from approval of your proof. If you need to expedite the process, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your timeline.
I am fully committed to providing the highest quality paper goods & stand behind everything I design & create. If you are not happy with my product for a reason within my control, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your purchase.
Please understand that I cannot accept returns due to customer input errors {e.g. clerical errors, typographical mistakes, etc.}. Upon approval of your final quote & receipt of the signed contract you accept responsibility for the design & typographical elements of your invitations, which includes any errors. Parrott Design Studio is not responsible for the costs associated with reprinting & shipping orders due to errors approved by you. Creating your dream wedding invitation is shared by you & me. While I will always do my best to lend an extra set of eyes, I am the designer & printer, not the editor {simply put, I am only human}. If errors are discovered after proof approval, I will reprint but I must charge.
Speaking of being only human, in the event of a Parrott Design Studio error, I will do everything to quickly remedy the situation. Once notified of the error I will offer you a reprint, refund, or credit towards a future purchase.
As a very gentle & polite reminder, all wedding & event invitations, announcements, & custom stationery are hand-printed on hand-powered {& very old!} machines.
Due to the inherent nature of letterpress & print gocco, slight variations & irregularities will occur. 100% cotton paper & hand-mixed inks will vary from each batch as well. The outcome, however, is a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork & one of the many reasons individuals specifically seek-out letterpress & print gocco.
